Beach Volleyball?

I know there has already been a little discussion on this, however, how do the 2 sports of volleyball and beach volleyball work at the same school or for student athletes who may have played court volleyball at one school and then beach volleyball at another? How many seasons/years of eligibility does one have?

We should learn about this, because beach volleyball IS happening at WSU in the very near future.

From what I understand, girls on indoor volleyball scholarships can play on the beach team but girls on beach volleyball scholarships cannot play on the indoor team. Beach volleyball allows is an equivalency sport (divides up 3 scholarships), where as indoor is a counter sport.

Sand volleyball is probably the more accurate term. My question is whether it needs to be played outdoors. If not, if WSU adds it in the future (maybe more likely WHEN), I would guess that the new Wichita Sports Forum, which has sand volleyball pits, could host those matches.
