I'm in desperate need of some Shocker volleyball. Seems like it's been forever.

Saw this on twitter today, tagged as our 2016 recruiting class. Not sure if it's accurate or someone just being facetious. I'm guessing maybe from a volleyball camp?

Shox getting some love in the preseason poll. Based on this, it looks like the OOC schedule is VERY impressive. Lots of stacked competition. Our first opponent, Oregon State, seems like they're one of the only teams in the entire PAC-12 conference not in the Top 25, albeit close.

The Shocker Classic is way tougher than first glance. I had no idea Illinois and Kentucky were good in volleyball. Illinois at #8 struck me. And we get both of those at home. Need big crowds for that weekend.

              ... No really, deuces.

I haven't gone into depth on the schedule yet but of the 14 matches only 3 teams (SDSU, Albany and ACU) had losing records last year. That doesn't mean a whole lot if they lost everyone.

NMSU has a senior laden team and will be tough. Texas State gave us all we wanted last year. Marquette lost in 5 to Illinois State in the dance.

Illinois and Kentucky are fantastic. Hawaii, Oregon State & TA&M are very very good. Would love to hear how practice is going.

Kentucky is new to the party but Illinois is good. Last year they lost to Florida 16-14 in the 5th in the Sweet 16. Year before that lost to Purdue in the same round.

They did host both years so.....but they hosted. They were strong. They rebuilt in '12 but that followed a championship appearance in '11 when they lost to UCLA for all the marbles.

They'll be a handful to say the least. Huge games for our program.

Pau Suellentrop with a pre-season report on Katy Dudzinski.

I'm really pulling form Katy D to find her role and round out her game and perhaps blossom for the Shockers this year. Easy to get behind players like Katy who has maintained a great attitude even though things have not gone her way in her Shocker career (yet).

The Lady Shockers have been installed as the pre-season favorite to take this year's MVC Valley Volleyball championship. The Shocks received 7 of 10 first place votes with MSU, UNI and SIU receiving 1 first place vote each.

WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita State volleyball team is picked first in the 2015 Missouri Valley Conference Preseason Coaches Poll.  The Shockers received seven first-place votes and 97 points in the poll.

Don't forget to get you tickets to the VB101 dinner this coming Saturday if you haven't done so already.

Talked a lot about Jody Larson and her transition to WSU. Talked about Abbie a little. Talked a lot about the schedule and how it's the best he's ever done.

Something that he DOES NOT get enough credit for over the years. I'm not saying volleyball is the same as basketball, but still, he's got some great teams to WSU in addition to the great teams he takes his team to face on the road.

I think we have a coach who is well respected by his peers. Would love to see that break out year like a elite 8 or higher finish. Seems women's volleyball, basketball and softball are pretty much the same ones at the end every year.
