      misc. stat tidbit: Illinois State clinched a spot in the conference tournament with their win tonight.
      Not that anyone really doubted that they would make it, but mathematically after tonight, the worst they could possibly finish is 5th place.

      Is anyone planning on making the trip to Cedar Falls next Saturday?

        Shocks sweep Bradley who fall to 0-21. I know Abbie Lehman ties a record with a perfect night going 15-0-15 for a 1.000%. I have no idea if the number of kills in combination with the perfection is a record, probably not but she was dominant tonight.

          Wished I could have seen that performance.

            From the 2014 NCAA Division I WVB record book:
            HITTING PERCENTAGE

            10 or more attempts
            1.000—28 times.
            best performance: Samantha Thrower, Indiana vs. Buffalo, Sept. 3, 2011 (15-0/15);
            Katie Silliman, Arkansas st. vs. Jackson st., Oct. 11, 1998 (15-0/15)

            15 or more attempts
            1.000—Samantha Thrower, Indiana vs. Buffalo, Sept. 3, 2011 (15-0/15);
            Katie Silliman, Arkansas st. vs. Jackson st., Oct. 11, 1998 (15-0/15)

            20 or more attempts
            .955—Cathy Petrissams, Loyola Marymount vs. Northern Ariz., Oct. 11, 1986 (21-0/22)
            So it looks like she tied for best hitting percentage, unless someone else bested that mark this season.

              I don't know how it was scored, but she may have been denied a record breaking 16th kill in the 2nd set when she put a ball down but a Gargyrl was called for a net violation.

                @PaulS:uellentrop: Lehman's 15 kills equals an NCAA record. Two others also perfect with 15 attempts.

                  And this from a RS Freshman was has only really focused on volleyball from a couple of years. Abbie has been quite the diamond in the rough find.

                    From goshockers.com

                    Wichita State was led by Abbie Lehman, who was 15-for-15 (1.000) in attacking, breaking the Shocker record for hitting percentage in a match. Janelle Watton, who hit .917 against Tulsa on Nov. 16, 1991, held the previous record. Lehman’s attacking percentage in the match also ties an NCAA record.

                      Abbie is hitting .500 in conference and like Jenny Whitledge, seems to be improving all the time. She is not just getting up high and pounding the ball (she certainly is doing that) but she identifying holes in the defense and placing the ball in those holes. Certainly the schedule is going to get tougher down the stretch but she's making a strong case for all conference so far.

                        I believe the kill is still recorded in such an instance, perhaps with the opposing player credited with a "blocking error"

                          Well done sir....according to the PBP stats

                          [Rymer, Kayla] Kill by Lehman, Abbie (from Hiebert, Emily), block error by Cave, Kelsey.

                            Abbie is the Player of the Week and the Freshman of the Week.

                              I was thinking that might be a definite possibility after her performance vs Bradley.

                                If you set or tie a national record, you probably will be in the running.
