The NCAA issued their first RPI rankings of the year today.

    Of note in the Valley,

    42 Illinois State
    72 Northern Iowa

Thanks, I think. No question that the Valley is down at the top of the conference this year. Looks like a one-bid conference.

And UNI hosts the conference tournament this year.

Redbirds have an outside chance for an at-large if they kept winning, but a few losses could put them on the wrong side of the bubble.

Rest of the conference..... not much chance other than winning the MVC tourney.

After the first trip through the conference, the RPIs of interest are:

          45 Illinois State
          66 Missouri State
          82 Northern Iowa
          96 Shockers
          138..298 the rest

Nothing has changed or is likely to. Illinois State has a chance for at-large bid to the NCAAs; everyone else has to win the Conference Tournament.

          BTW,

          46 Creighton

Assuming Raudsepp is healthy, can WSU be more of a threat to the top 3 with the 6-2 formation?
