Don't get me wrong, but it seemed obvious at the end of the Texas State match many of girls were gassed. After the first weekend, Lambo needed to settle on a lineup. The problem was that last weekend was a much better setup to have 1 lineup and this was a better weekend to experiment.

When the lineup was the same for the North Texas match, it just seemed that if we didn't sweep we'd be in trouble, if we even made it that far.

I'm certainly not questioning the coaching or the girls conditioning or anything....it's just a lot to ask a group of kids, many just out of high school, to do against a solid team that's fresh.

I too hope they can recover to salvage a good finish this morning. Lambo is certainly right about the scoring....we just don't have enough threats right now outside of Mikaela, and we're asking an awful lot from that freshman.

Whether or not the Shocks just ran out of gas or just lost their focus is hard to say.

As noted in the post-game comment, Lambo did not take the offer when Mike mentioned the fatigue possibility, citing the need for better performance from the right side instead. Maybe that's because he can coach that, whereas a schedule is what it is.

Re not scoring behind the setter: Going to use Katy and Ashlyn on the right, and Emily needs to dump more.

This puts more pressure on the serve/receive as Jenny and Mikaela have to pass since one less little is used.

Their 6'4" international gal is giving us fits. We just can't hit over very many people, and that's a problem not likely to be fixed this year.
