Per a tweet from her brother, the Shockers have a commit from McKenzie Fyfe, a setter/defensive specialist from Grand Island, Neb.

Gotta give the little sis a shot out for committing to Wichita State to play volleyball! Great example hard work pays off
“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

According to the Omaha World-Herald, she will walk-on at WSU.

Her brother, cited above, is a QB and redshirt freshman at Nebraska.

McKenzie's high school team, Grand Island, lost in the quarters in State to powerhouse Millard West. I think she plays for Nebraska Juniors club team, but I don't know for sure. Nebraska Juniors is a pipeline to the University of Nebraska as they have a who's who of All Americans listed as alumni. Amber Rolfzen, Kadie Rolfzen, Hayley Thramer, Lauren Cook, Gina Mancuso, Jordan Larson, Christina Houghtelling and Dani Mancuso to name just a few.

Here's the link to the state tourney article. Islanders drop match to Millard West

Interesting that McKenzie was the exclusive setter at the end of the season, but in an earlier tournament she wasn't listed as having even 1 assist, but she did play. Here
