Circumstances resulted in Shane Dennis having the extremely good fortune to be the radio voice of the Shockers win over KU that put them into the Sweet 16.

According to goShockers.com Shane will again be the radio voice of the Shockers for the USC match. If the Shocks somehow pull a huge upset over USC will Lambo ever let Mike call another Shocker NCAA match?

Of course, Mike can counter that he did call the big come from behind Arkansas match that really got the Lady Shocks going.

Props to Shane, as he had obviously done some research and was MUCH improved from the last time I heard him call a VB match. Not an easy thing to do.

Shane will get the next 2 matches (as needed). One wonders if Mike takes the Final 4 call on Thursday or the game at UT? The Championship game appears to be clear for him.

I have absolutely no compunctions when assessing the Shocks chances tonight. USC is simply one of the finest programs in the country and they are always a threat to win the National Championship.

But I am telling you, there is an awful lot of good karma floating around this team right now. Win or lose, it's been a hell of ride.

Can I just say what CRAP it is that this game is on ESPN3 and I can't watch it?? What kind of 3rd rate program are we that a Sweet 16 game is not available on local TV here in Baton Rouge.

NCAA.com is blocked here at work so I went to UT's site for a GameTracker link. It looks like they'll have it for UT's match, but not for WSU v. USC. Grrrr.

The girls look great and are fighting the women of Troy tooth and nail. They've had 3 attacks crawl of the net that easily could have gone our way.

USC is absolutely loaded. 2 straight give USC a 15-12 lead going to the timeout. Need to keep this close.
