UNI was impressive, and this SHOULD give a confidence boost to our girls.

      Go Shocks!

UNI was very impressive and if they play that well they can give Nebraska a run for thier money.

They won the last set by 4 after falling behind 1-4. It was 24-17 thereafter. So yes it was pretty much a romp.

UNI may want to lock themselves into there hotel rooms tonight. The ASPCA does not take kindly to people who treat kitties in such a harsh manner.

2 consecutive aces by Michigan puts them up 6-3 in Set 5. Timeout Vols.

@JayJ79:, the commentator at the USC site just referred to the Panthers as Northern Illinois. I have his address if you want some of your people to visit him.

Nebraska announcers seemed somewhat surprised by the UNI win as well. I suppose part of that stems from the fact that KSU knocked Nebraska out of the tournament last year at Lincoln.

The Nebraska match with UMES is going about as expected. 25-14, 25-10 and 8-4 in Set 3. This could be a good thing from UNI's standpoint. What UNI does well, UMES really doesn't do at all (play great defense and keep balls alive) so Nebraska is getting know real benefit from this match with respect to what they will face against UNI. Not that Nebraska needs any help. They are, as always, quite formidable.

Tomorrow's match between Nebraska and UNI will be the final match at the Nebraska Coliseum which holds 4,030. It will mark the 180th consecutive sellout at the Coliseum. Pretty damn impressive stuff. Great fans at Nebraska.

Next year they move into the re-configured Devaney Center that will seat around 7,000. That may allow them to expand the student seating but chances are the will continue their streak of sell-outs for some time to come.

My enforcers are on route to Southern Connecticut to deal with him.

Great sweep by UNI! Always nice to see Kitten State get their rears handed to them, especially by a Valley school.

It was about at this time last year, when a certain twice-banned Kitten State troll began a tirade against the Valley, saying it was a "weak" volleyball conference, this and that. If that troll is lurking around, I hoped they like how that weak conference team schooled their Kitties in a sweep. Suck on that one.
                            Deuces Valley.
                            ... No really, deuces.

#15 seeded Iowa State had an intereting, odd and scary match against IPFW (Ooey-Fooey) in Ames, Iowa.

The Cyclones drummed IPFW 25-11 in Set 1. Then the Cyclones found themselve down 1-2 after IPFW won Sets 2 and 3 by 25-23 and 25-22 scores. The Clones then woke up and took the final 2 sets easily by scores of 25-13 and 15-7.

Here is the NCAA Interactive Bracket
