17-25 in the second set. Mustangs have 10.5 blocks in the two sets. Suggests that the littles are having a tough night. Plus, SMU has some length. They hit .520 in that set.

Pretty much as expected, but a very nice first set.

Will this be the best result points-wise of the #1 v #4 in a pod? I'll check back in a couple of days.

(Well, the answer is No, but let's see where it falls.)

Tough loss. Might have been different had we won that first set. Now we get to see how far Frosty can go.

Was a good season. Had lots of ups and downs, but during the AAC tourney they showed how well this team can play. Proud of this team.

We are really going to miss our seniors. Wish them the best. Will have to follow Morgan's pro career. I wonder if Izzi will go on the play internationally.

Really hope the rest of the team stays at WSU. I think we have a lot of potential to have a good team next year. Coach said the incoming class is one of the most experienced recruiting classes we have had in a while.

Pretty decent match for Morgan and Izzi as they closed out their collegiate volleyball careers. They will be missed and they will be tough to replace.

Arizona and Virginia are the only 2 power 4 schools I saw, both are 1 seeds, both are hosting, and both are getting a bye. I'm sure they are not leaving home unless they both reach the finals.

The other 1 seeds are Wright State (the last bye #1) and I'm totally guessing on the last #1 who isn't getting a bye, but it's either SFA or Ga Southern as both are hosting.

I thought SMU might be able to send it to five after that marathon 3rd set. Missouri, down 20-19, rattled off four straight then sided out with SMU a couple times for the win.

I thought the strangest match so far was Creighton vs Ole Miss. The first 2 sets went long, 28-26 and 27-25, then in the 3rd set Creighton won 25-7. I read that Ole Miss and Florida State had played like 17 (ish) times, but this was their first match since the mid 1980s.

In the NIVC, DePaul beat Omaha in five. Watched the game on YouTube. I had Omaha and ECU in the Final Four. UConn's defeat of ECU really wrecked that side of my bracket. Still have Arizona winning it all, so they will probably lose tomorrow against Pacific.

Uni had #4 overall seed Louisville beat. 14-12 in the 5th and just couldn’t close it. 22-20 Cards sends the Panthers home.

The service errors really killed UNI's chances. Had 2 SE on match point and 2 SE to give Louisville Match point. Kinda wanted UNI to win, but that would have smoked by bracket.

If Kansas loses that will ruin my bracket too. I hate rooting for Kansas.

ETA. Kansas just won the 4th set 26-24, headed to the fifth.

Of course Kansas loses, 13-15 in the 5th. I had them going to the Final Four.
