Nothing was said about the hurricane issue one way or the other.

As far as the Rice match goes Lambo talked quite a bit how Rice switched from 5-1 to a 6-2 late in the 3rd set and were much better in that alignment and the Shocks could not keep up. He seemed a little concerned about how his team would fare against opponents who utilize the 6-2. Of course, Rice has the talent to make it work well to a greater degree than most teams in the AAC.

He mentioned that Rice did a good job of funneling attacks to the outstanding libero and the DS that was an All-Conference libero last year. Lambo thought his team kind of fell into that trap. OTOH, Rice was just better at handling the heat then were the Shockers.

He thinks USF is the most potent offensive attack in the league and he said the Shocks will have their hands full against both USF and FAU this week. He doesn't sound terribly confident that his team can be successful against the stronger and better teams on the schedule.
