Well, that was below average, in the horrible range.

First set was the best. Brylee was hitting .333 (5 1 12) and Sophia was at .500 (3 0 6). Ba and Swifty both had 2 kills and Frosty had one. Swifty and Annalie both had aces. Shockers had 3 blocks to NT's 1. Shockers hit .265 (13 4 34). NT hit .150 (13 7 40). Shockers 25-19.

The second set was the battle of errors. Both teams were hitting negative for most of this set. Shockers got 7 blocks to NT's 1. Shockers hit .148 (9 5 27). NT hit -.118 (7 11 34). Although The Shockers cruised to a 25-16 victory, it was not pretty. Frosty had 3 kills, Brylee-2, Sophia, Ba, Swifty, and Izzi all had one kill. Swifty got another ace and 2 solo blocks and 3 block assists.

Set 3, the Shockers found themselves in a 5-0 hole. They fought back and had it all tied up at 19 when NT went on a 6-1 run to win 25-20. The shockers got no blocks, NT got 5. Brylee and Sophia got 3 kills each, Frosty-2, and Ba and Swifty each had 1. Izzi's turn to get the only Shocker ace. Shockers hit .079 (10 7 38). NT hit .143 (13 7 42)

The fourth set was back and forth. The Shockers were up 23-21 when NT scored the last four points to win 25-23. NT just wanted it more. The Shockers really seemed flat. Frosty lead the way with 6 kills, Swifty-4, Sophia-3, Brylee-1. Shockers got 1 block, NT got 4. Shockers hit .206 (14 7 34). NT .343 (16 4 35)

The 5th set started good, then went ugly. Gabi got the ace this set, but the Shockers gave up two aces. Ba and swifty both had 2 kills, Frosty and Emmerson, who subbed in for Brylee, both had 1 kill. Shockers hit .308 (6 2 13). TN .412 (10 3 17)

Overall Shockers hit .185 (52 25 146). NT hit.161 (59 32 168). Four Shockers had double digit kills- Frosty(13), Brylee(11), Swifty(10), and Sophia(10). Ba had 6 kills and Emerson and Izzi had 1. Izzi had 45 assists. Gabi lead with 17 digs, Katie had 13. Reagan got to see the court time. Katie was subbed in to serve for Sophia instead of after Sophia had finished her service run about half way through the match. Don't know if it made much difference. Swifty got 2 solo blocks, Frosty, Sophia, and Izzi had 1 solo block each. Swifty had 4 block assists, Frosty and Brylee-3, Ba-2, and Sophia and Izzi each had 1.

NT really made many crazy plays to keep the ball alive. I think the chances of making the NCAA tourney is very, very small.

          Attendance was 1370.

This is from a very untrained eye, but I thought the setting from Izzy was not very good at all. Too many sets on top of the net, too many weak swings which I attribute to misplaced sets. BWDIK.

Shocks were up 20-15 in the 4th set. Melted down soon thereafter.

Smaller than that. While an implosion by SMU is highly unlikely, it's not impossible, but teetering on that less than zero area. Not getting in, unless the Shocks win the conference.

Are you referring to Lambo's weekly radio show?

If so, there was no show this week due to the MBB gsme vs Lipscomb.

Yes, I was. I wondered, thinking they might move it to another day. Thanks.
