Yeah, sorry to hear that. However, on a positive note Lambo's high regard for both true freshman Katy Dudzinksi and Ashlyn Driskill says a lot about the quality of this year's incoming freshman class. Get well soon Katy and try to enjoy your 1st year of college life.

I remember being told this time last year that the talent we were bringing in THIS year was going to be really, really good. I look forward to seeing that talent in the flesh, so to speak.

Unfortunate news in today's paper. Freshman Katy Dudzinski, expected to compete for a starting position, will miss the entire season due to a non-volleyball injury to her foot.

Here's to hoping Katy makes a full recovery and tears it up next season!

I wonder if they are putting something together for the VB101 Dinner or a shot for some other purpuse. IIRC correctly they put together a nice slide show last year.

Looks like there is a 7th player holding a ball behind Chelsey Feekin (#8). I am assuming this would be another one of our "littles". Could be one of several players based on yesterday's Eagle article: http://www.kansas.com/2012/08/07/244...g-littles.html

My money on Jordan Hinkle based on the focus on her in the article and what I saw in the KU scrimmage this spring.

Chelsey is definitley a physical specimen at setter. She makes our All-Conference OH, Emily look small not to mention totally blocking out the unkown player on the back row.

Is this our likely starting group at this point. Jackie, Sam, Elizabeth, Chelsey, Emily and the hidden gem?

It looks to me that the obstructed player is of similar height to Emily (who is 6'2") so I really doubt that it is a little. Based on height, hair color, and on the fact the the picture appears to be of returning regulars, I'm guessing that it is Ashley Andrade.

That's a good observation and a good guess. I thought about Ashley but it was hard for me to believe Chelsey could block Ashley out, but with the right camera angle it could happen. The hair color and foot size kind of threw me away from Ashley also, but I have to say that Ashely makes the most sense.

It was just picture day fellas....they always take a variety....solo...groups (setters, littles etc).
