  • 19/21 Shocker SB v 1/1Oklahoma

The Shockers play their annual game with Oklahoma in front of a long ago sold-out crowd at Wilkins. This assumes weather-permitting and folks braving the elements.

Oklahoma has a record of 42-1 and 12-0 in the Big XII. Their only loss was to Baylor in a tournament hosted in Waco. This past weekend, they swept Baylor in conference play with three shutouts. They are 17-0 against ranked teams including a win over then #1 UCLA and a sweep of Texas in conference play.

The Sooners have five players with an OPS greater than 1.225 with four players having 12, 11, 11 and 10 homers. Jayda Coleman and Haley Lee are the leaders in both OPS and HR.

The primary pitchers for Oklahoma in IP order are Jordy Bahl (89.0 IP and ERA of 1.18), Nicole May (71.1 and 0.45), and Alex Storako (76.1 and 0.73).

The Shockers are 40-8 and 13-2. Hitting is led by Sydney (1.308) and Addison (1.248 and thirteen home runs). Zoe also has thirteen homers. Pitching is Alex (ERA of 1.40 and WHIP of 1.05), Lo (2.29 and 1.13), and Alison (3.20 and 1.47).

Rain will remain light to nothing. Should have at least tried to play

Shameful that this was called off 7 hours in advance. It’s not like it’s a 500 mile drive from Norman.

Really disappointing. I’m sure OU called the shots.

In their defense, there has been rain all around Wichita most of the day. It's just mostly barely missed hitting the city.

That’s kinda my point. Make sure it’s actually gonna rain before calling something off so quickly. The sun is out in downtown right now.

Maybe for the best. Avoid another loss before selection Sunday(?) even if it would’ve been to #1.
