Erin has come in and given them a chance, but the offense just hasn't been able to push one across yet. I missed the first couple of innings but since I tuned in they've had good approaches st the plate and have hit a few hard ones right at people.

As I type that out, Herring hits one hard off of thr scoreboard for a grandslam

Here in the bottom of the 6th, we have folks in the luxury boxes at Eck on the walkway watching our big inning. Softball sold out tonight. 3rd base seating needs to be in the works.

Lolo batting with 2-outs and the bases loaded and leading 8-4 in the 6th. A home run by Lolo would end the game.

Lolo can't get it done (LOL). Hits a bases clearing double banging the ball of the white stripe at the top of the left field wall.

Cassie Passwaters, hitting for Lainee, walks. Wylie gounds out to 1st to end the Shockers round in the bottom of the 6th as the Shocks blow it open with 7 runs to take an 11-4 lead.

Erin gives up 2-out walk and a 2-out double but gets a strikeout to end the game.

BOOM!!! Three run double off the top of the wall for Mills. Advances ro third on a bad throw and now we have a chance to end this game via the mercy rule.

          Holy shitballs what an inning

Four run 5th. Seven run 6th. Damn these ladies are fun to watch.

They also just said there's a little over 800 in attendance. I want to know why 1k is listed as capacity.

Wilkins should have legit seating for at least 1k and I'd shoot for 1200. Or at least add more areas for standing room. That's a cheaper way to allow more people to watch this fantastic program and they continue to gain momentum.

Some big moments in this game and some goof performances, but Erin is my player of the game tonight.

I have Erin and Neleigh as my co-players of the game.

I also want to mention freshman Krystin Nelson for her play at 3rd base tonight. That is a very key position against a bunch of slappers like UCF employs. Krystin has not played a lot lately after being sidelined by an illness. But HCKB inserted her into the starting lineup tonight specifically because she wanted her best defensive 3rd baseman in the game and Krystin played very well I thought.

This was a really big come from behind win for the Shockers and one of the good things that happened is they got a good look at UCF's league leading pitching staff including there two horses, Mancha and Woodall. The way this game ended might put a seed of doubt in UCF's mind and no doubt has the Shocks pumped.

Sure did not look like the game was headed to where it ended up.

Shocks need 1 more. Let's get it done tomorrow and then Sunday can be a big party for the seniors.

Okay, so heading into the bottom of the 5th the Shocks were trailing 4-0, having only managed 2 hits, one an infield grounder. Who thought the Shocks would be on he brink of a run rule win in the bottom of the 6th? That was the farthest thing from my mind.

I find the choice of Alison to start a curious choice - but then I suspect the two seniors get the two starts with the most pressure.

it was a good view from there, tbh. It’s actually kind of sad but if you weren’t following along, you knew something big happened because you could hear the roar from Wilkins when Nee tied it up.

Pretty sure I could have muted the TV and heard the roar from my home in western BuCo

Watching a replay of the game this morning. Neleigh's adjustment to how she was being pitched on her game tying grand slam was really good. The first 3 ptiches were all right at the knees and on the outside edge or just off the outside edge of the plate. The 4th pitch was exactly the same and Neleigh was clearly looking for that and went with the pitch and literally found the scoreboard for the Shocks.

Actually, the at bat by Zoe Jones immediately preceding Neleigh's home run was big as well. Not because it was a good at bat. Zoe hit a little nubber back to to the pitcher for a force out at home, but Zoe, who is not a speed demon, busted her butt as hard as she could and was agle to beat the catcher's throw to first that could have finished off an innning ending double play.
