    ECU 1-3 Tulane
    19, 27, (21), 23

Houston over Cincinnati also means that Houston is the (very, very likely) only possibility for an at-large bid.

RPIs will be available in the morning.

    EDIT:
    26 - UCF
    48 - Houston
    52 - Cincinnati
    65 - Shockers

By virtue of playing each other, the RPIs of both Houston and Cincinnati improved. Prior to the match, they were both in the Next Four Out category. New bracketology predictions will be out early this week.

Stout’s Stuffs Earn Defensive Player of the Week

Wichita State freshman middle Morgan Stout was named the American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

The freshman from Fowler, Kan. made her presence felt with a spectacular showing in all phases of the game on Wednesday against Tulsa. Defensively, she recorded 11 individual blocks, including two solos, the most recorded by any Shocker this season and the second-most in a five-set match in the rally-scoring era of WSU volleyball history. In the fifth and deciding set, Stout delivered a solo block and two block assists to help WSU pull out a 16-14 win.

Stout also added a season-high 13 kills on just 27 attacks against the Golden Hurricane, chipping in three digs.

On Friday against Temple, Stout picked up five more block assists, once again recording three digs and four kills to help the Shockers complete the sweep. For the week, the 6'1 middle had 16 total blocks in eight sets of action. She leads all Shockers this season with 0.93 blocks per set and 74.0 total blocks.

Chances of finishing in the Top 45:
        100% - UCF
        41% - Houston
        1% - Cincinnati
        1% - Shockers

There are two VTers who take a stab at the bracket. The one with the most cred, who has been accurate in the past, now has Houston as one of the Last Four In.

A hilarious moment from the Coach's Show-

Mike asked about the Conference Tournament. Lambo informed him, "Uh, there isn't one this year." The ADs voted not to have it although the coaches were in favor of a tournament by 11-0. Lambo was not aware of the factors in the decision.

When asked about the possibility of playing in the NIVC, Lambo mentioned finances and team fatigue as the factors that would be part of that decision.

Coach mentioned time and time again how much this team has improved from the beginning of the season.

You've got to figure that finances were the driving factor in the conference tournament decision. I think everyone is looking to save money where they can at the moment.

I agree. He just didn't speculate, since he wasn't told. He hasn't been reluctant to point out the impact finances have on his recruiting, though. That's not speculation.
