Yes. Said he was waiting on a couple of contracts to be signed and returned and then they would post the scheudule.

But he did talk about the schedule in his interview with Bob Lutz on the drive:

Yes, no masks! Believe it is only for State employees.

The Shocker non-conference schedule is not nearly as tough as some of the schedules Lambo has put together in prior years and I suspect Covid and the financial restraints that seem to be in place have something to do with that. I'm sure they will travel by bus to all 3 of the away tournaments in Jonesboro, AR, Brookings, SD and Lawrence, KS.

The toughest field of the four 3-match non-con tournaments would appear to be the home tournament on September 10th and 11th with matches against South Dakota, Wyoming and Creighton. All three of whom are capable of beating the Shocks. Not a lot of RPI building available with this schedule but may not need it with the full 20 game round robin in AAC play. Of course, it remains to be seen how much of this schedule actually gets played.

Otherwise it looks like Missouri State will be the toughest opponent and best measuring stick in the season opening tournament at Arkansas State.

I will be disappointed if the Shocks don't go 3-0 at the South Dakota State Tournament on Weekend #2 against the Jackrabbits, Cal Baptist and Montana on Weekend #2,

The Jayhawks host the Shocks, Kent State and Delaware on Weekend #3. The Jayhawks handled the Shocks pretty easily in two home-and-home matches last year with the Shocks only winning 1 of 7 sets. The Shocks should be able to handle Kent State and Delaware.

The Shocker Volleyball Classic on Weekend #4 will provide us with a good take on how the Shocks might fare in AAC play. As I mentioned above South Dakota, Wyoming and Creighton are all capable of beating this Shocker team.

Worst case I see the Shocks going 8-4 in these 4 non-conference tournaments. Best case 10-2.

How they will do in AAC play is hard to say. At this point things look kind of like a scrum behind UCF, Houston and Tulane. I suppose a reasonable over-under on the season would be right at .500 or 10-10 in conference play. At this point I am going to go with over with a ceiling at perhaps 12-8.

Mostly, I hope we see a relatively stable lineup and that we see positive progress in the level of play as the season proceeds. Last year seemed like it was one experiment after another and one lineup after another. I don't mind a little experimentation in the non-con tournaments, but I would like to see the Shocks lineup and approach stabilized by the Shocker Volleyball Classic on Weekend #4. But what I would like to see has no impact whatsoever on what we will see.

450 in attendance. Seems like the Volleyball program's core support group is hanging in there.

I thought that "Home" board with the Wichita flag was really cool. My better half nixed the idea.

Also liked the Wu Shock volleyball metal cut out. The girls were great....big Brylee fan here. Brent did a good job and Mike was so happy to be there. His passion really showed.

Lara from Hungary was adorable with her English...the most anyone heard her say since she arrived lol.

Kylie Marneris from Couer D' Alene, Idaho (one of the most beautiful cities you'll ever see) and Pedro the Vulture (Vulture Culture for the littles) were great too.

I think Lara Is from Turkey, actually. She’s a big city girl, as her hometown of Izmir is around 3 million.
