    Other post-match comments

Still having problems adjusting after other teams adjust. See sets 1,2 v set 3.

Good to see Nicole and Sina back in it. Both struggled through a patch of rough attacking.

Really, really happy with progress by Kayce. Threw several middles out there for her to set.

The team has a good last two weeks. Some teams would have folded by now with the same kind of rough start to a their season.

Hmm. We crossed with some of our comments.

        Lambo's Pre-Match Comments - Temple

Lambo thinks Temple is better than their record and will be tough. A little bit of Jekyll and Hyde with the Owls.

The Shocks attack error percentage and service error percentage has been better. But the Shocks still struggle to score. Good to see Sina and Nicole playing well in practice and getting back in the mix.

Temple can really hit but the question is can they play enough volleyball. The also make a lot of attack errors. Against Memphis Temple didn't even look like the got off the bus but they looked quite good against Tulsa.

Shocks have been getting off to good starts but one teams adjust the question is can they keep scoring.

          Shockers at Temple

          Pre-game comments

Temple is better than record - stats would indicate that.

Shockers playing better, cleaner volleyball. Still not scoring as well as Coach would like.

Defense is improving. Kayce, as well as other setters, are setting the middles better.

Some other comments about Temple. Some other comments about the Shockers.

          Crossed again. *Sigh*

Shocks have had 5-1 and 14-9 leads but have not been able to hold them. As usual our AAC opponent appears to have more firepower than the Shocks. The Shocks passing has not been very good so far IMO.

The Shocks looked clueless and overmatched in losing set 1 by 25-19. Shocks outscored 16-5 to close out the set.

Temple more ahtletic and much better firepower than the Shocks. Hard to win when you have to depend on the other team just playing worse than you do which would have been very difficult for Temple to do in Set 1.

Temple 25-19 to take the first set.

                .025 v .178

Sophia with three and Megan with two are the only Shockers with multiple kills.

Looks like Kayce is running the 5-1 this set. At least she is on the front row right now. Not making much difference.

Right. 7-14 and a Shocker TO.

                      8-14 and Brylee subs in.

10-14 and the Owls take a TO.

This Shocker team is horrible coming out of timeouts.

The Shockers have a hard time getting into system on free balls and they are the worst I have seen this year on taking advantage of overpasses.

                        Temple 25-13 in Set 2.

Lambo has no answers primarily because he has no options.

8-12 and a Shocker TO. Does not appear to be their day.

Block, service ace, block brings the score to 15-17 and Temple takes a TO.

At least the Shockers are not rolling over and playing dead. Sophia has had some nice moments in Set 3.
