Shocks doing much, much better than I was expecting they would do tonight. Hopefully, they can keep it up. One player I would like to see pick it up a bit is Emma Wright.

Hmm, maybe the audio from BigWest is overriding Mike. Then we could still get post-match comments.

So proud of the way these ladies have battled today. Last night had to be brutal. Being so young, it's a real testament to the coaches and the character of the athletes to come out and play this hard under exceedingly difficult situations.

The Shocks had their blocking game going early in Set 4 but the serving, passing and setting weren't very good. Let's see how the youngsters handle this 5th set.

11-15 and CP wins 3-2.

Serve receive has been the difference for Cal Poly because the Shocks have pretty much dominated the rest of the play.

Can't fault the Shockers effort tonight. No doubt we have some things that need refining and that will get better with experience. Cal Poly's serving game is impressive but still did they beat the Shocks tonight or did the Shocks beat themselves. Way too many unforced errors. Clean that up and we can be a handful in the AAC. Overall though definitely a step in the right direction even with the loss.

Megan Taflinger looked like the go to player we were hoping she would become tonight. Not sure what her final line is but it should be pretty darn good.

Also another double-double for Nicole Anderson. She is one of those players that doesn't necessarily standout but she just gets the job done.

Tough match to lose after being up 2-1 but the team played hard, we got to see some new kids in new roles and I think we got better against a good team.
