    Sounds like a winner.

“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

Arizona wants a more polished player? Is this just coach-speak? She sounds like the kind of player coach Lamb can polish.

Emily Adney, version 2? (e.g. starts as a freshman? hits hard! high VB IQ?)
Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

From the article, it is clear she understands the things she needs to work on.

I find this "polished" thing interesting. Coach Lamb red-shirts almost everyone, Emily and Lindsey being recent exceptions though there are probably others. Is this because he typically cannot get the "polished" ones here to a mid-major? Is it because he actually has some preference to develop "unpolished" players? (I know - all coaches are developing their players - even the polished ones.) Like I said, I find it interesting.

On their current roster, Arizona has seven freshmen, all of whom have played, five of them getting significant playing time. There is only one red-shirt, a junior. This is clearly a snapshot, so it is hard to know if this reflects Coach Rubio's philosophy, or if there is just not "time" to red-shirt a lot of your freshman class in the Pac-12.

Seems like I've heard Lambo say or have heard it said about him that he probably likes the process of training volleyball players more than the actual matches themselves.

IIRC there was comment (maybe by Lambo) where he said the biggest problem the matches is they get in the way of training his team.

I don't think Lambo would turn down a polished player and her has had some of those, especially a couple of notable transfers (Stockman and Zwiesler).

OTOH, he has also had more than his share of players with somewhat raw potential that he has developed into very fine players. Perhaps No. 1 on that list would be Sara Lungren.

Katy Studzinski looks like she might fit right into Lambo's wheelhouse.
