  • CSU Rams Classic - Out of the Frying Pan...

    ...and into the fire.

Shocks continue there tough pre-season schedule against #14 Colorado State tonight at 8:00 pm CT.

CSU owns a 3-2 home win over Nebraska and a sweep over Arkansas. The did get swept by OU (who is waiting right around the corner for the Shocks).

Apparently, Northern Colorado won't be a pushover either.

The match against the Nova KMB Maribor team from Slovenia will be a little bit of a break in that it is an exhibition and won't count on the record, but it should be high level competition. CSU defeat NOVA KMB Maribor last night in 4 sets by scores of 27-29, 26-24, 25-23 and 25-15.

Saturday's matches are at Noon and 5:30 CT.

    Good luck, Shocks!

Shocks win a real battle in Set 1 with a tough 28-26 win. Sounds like they are playing well.

They did have 6 service errors but they also had 4 aces.

Strong serving by Waldo and two nice solo blocks by Emily Adney.

Lambo said one of the things he wanted to try to do was to keep CSU from getting on a roll because they can really feed off of momentum.

Jackie opens set 2 with a service error to give the early momentum to the Rams.

Shocks down in 1-5 set 2.

Shocks fell behind early and trailed 11-19 before making a run to pull within 3 but could get no closer. CSU takes the 2nd set 25-19.

Camri and Sam apparently are hurting some as both were game time decision as to whether they would start or not. Not sure how big of a factor, if any, that has been.

Emily playing very well in her home state.

Only 1 hitting error I think and that came in Set 3.

                    We can do this!

Looks like UNI lost the 1st 2 to KU but then won the last 3, they play #6 Minnesota tomorrow after they play St. Louis.

Sounds like CSU has decided to try and take Emily away and let one of the other Shocks try to beat them.

One of the biggest, if not the biggest win in Shocker Volleyball history.

Great match by our Colorado girl, Emily Adney -- how good is that.

Camri stepped up huge when CSU started to focus more on Emily, plus 6 service aces from Camri.

What about the solo block by Sam Sanders at 19-19 in Set 4. Maybe the key point of the set.

You got to love it Shocker fans!
