Spangler - if you're going to compare Waldo to Mel and Kelly, then you need to remember who they had helping them in the backrow.

We were laughing when she served the ball off of Wichita State's libero in game 2 because the served hit the libero in the chest with a loud thump. I don't recall seeing a player get six packed by a serve before.

If you think WSU would not be better with Kelly and Mel (with exactly the same teammates that Sarah and Jackie have) playing this year, you don't know volleyball.

Church & Waldo are great people who work hard and want to win. I respect their effort and their contributions but they are not Kelly and Mel.

Time to bring home a win! Go Shox! Hopefully they will take all they have learned from these first two matches and put it ALL TOGETHER!! When they do---they will be awesome!!

Set 2 goes the Shocks way 25-19. We need that one badly. Played much better offensivley that set.

Shocks really sputtering so far in Set 3. Not really doing anything well.

Shocks implode in Set 3 and fall 25-13. Not sure we can play any worse than we did that set.

Shocks were seemingly dead in the water and scuffling, but the put on a 6-0 run to go from 17-21 to 23-21 and then had to work hard for a 27-25 win to force a 5th set.

Hopefully, they can carry that momentum over to the final set.

Shocks pick up a badly needed win playing their best volleyball late in Set 4 and throughout Set 5 taking the final set 15 - 8.

Still a lot of questions hanging over this team as they return home to prepare for another tought tournament next weekend.

Got to give the ladies credit though for hanging tough today.
