“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'”

The sad reality is that if we want to play half-way decent teams, we will have to go on the road a lot.
I give a lot of credit to the OU coach for being one of the few people willing to consistently come into Koch arena.
It is a bad thing for volleyball that a team that draws as well as we do isn't able to host more games and showcase the sport because teams are too afraid to play us in Wichita, but that appears to be the way of things."Cotton scared me - I left him alone." - B4MSU (Bear Nation poster) in reference to heckling players

If you can't get a home tourney, you aren't going to get many home matches.
There are only 10 non-conference games you can play, with an 18 match conference rotation.
That schedule is impressive. 60% of the non conference schedule is against top 50 programs last season.
Hawaii 14, Arizona 38, Colorado State 22, Louisville 27, Oklahoma 19, Mississippi 46. Add in Northern Colorado 84 and two cupcakes in Eastern Illinois and San Francisco and I am not sure how you can build the schedule any better.
Add in Valley teams and its 12 out of 28 matches against top 50 teams and 16-28 against top 100. Pretty salty for a fairly young but talented team.
I am going to try and make the CSU tourney. Wish I could make the Hawaii one.

On the road — WSU won't hold a fall tournament, which is bad news for the fans. The good news is Lamb leveraged WSU's availability into return trips from good programs.
"You have to play give and take," he said. "It hasn't been easy to get volleyball teams to come to Wichita."The payoff comes in 2012, when CSU and BYU will play in WSU's tournament. Louisville will come to Wichita in 2013.
Lamb will push hard to lure an elite program to join the field in 2012.
"That ought to attract a heavy hitter," he said. "I can't imagine someone really good wouldn't want a piece of that. I'm going to be all over these guys."
