Shocks Host Cincy and ECU

Although I have followed the WSU ladies more and more over the years and go to a few matches, I'm still very much an outsider to volleyball.

That's why I probably like such lingo as " not blistering any varnish".

Lambo has talked in the past about the other middles (Emma, Abby and Brooke) having a difficult time getting a hand on the ball. Emma does that the best (a relative term) right now, but the pre-match service ball to her head may sideline her for a bit. Abby and Brooke had a really hard time with that this weekend. They got the ball to the floor some, but they were not blistering any varnish.

Lambo also recently mentioned that the career ending injury to 6-4 Rylea Kilburn (before her Shocker career was able to get started) blew a big hole in his succession planning at the MB position.
