Hall has been a confusing one to follow. He was at Miami High and transferred to Chaminade at the end of the summer. He was ruled ineligible there and transferred to laurinburg (NC) Prep. I saw him play with the Laurinburg team in late November and he looked awful (after looking very good the previous two summers, 6-4, long, athletic, streaky shooter from deep, good defender, top 150 national type talent).

When I saw Laurinburg again in February he was not with them. His coach couldn't explain -- not in a way that I could understand at least -- whether or not Hall was still attending Laurinburg.

Nobody seems to really know where he is now.

This is definitely not a prospect I expected to find here.

Nevertheless, I have seen him play in high school and on the AAU circuit. I'll see if I cant track him down sometime this week.

As far as his ability goes...he's got a good frame, is athletic, but seemed a bit raw. Honestly, I was a bit surprised that high-major programs showed interest in him.

Not sure if he is the type of character the Shox should go after. I honestly don't know the kid, but the track record of moving around and being ineligible doesn't seem to fit with what Turg likes to recruit.

He went to Laurinburg. Got expelled. Now he is back playing AAU for Team Breakdown.

I am not too keen on anyone who gets expelled from a prep school.

Especially after going to prep school after being ruled ineligible at your second HS. Thats 3 schools in one year for Mr. Hall. Not good.

I assume this is the weekend of the 10th you're talking about. I know something is going on next weekend as I've been contacted to do some officiating.

No, as in he was there playing on Saturday. Unless I've been given some horribly bad information from somebody who should know.

It's possible there was something there this weekend as well. I don't keep up on this stuff very well and the only reason I know something is going on next weekend is because I'm working it. Could be two complete different events and I'm sure you're much more informed than I am.
