I think it will be a pipeline, especially for the Nigerian players. I will be surprised if at least one of the current crop at Sunrise doesn't become a Shocker. How good of players we get from there remains to be seen.

The expected article on Sunrise from Eric Bossi:

Sunrise's coach says Iowa and Clemson are on top now for "Gabe" Olaseni. Utah State wants him now. Wichita State likes him. Many are waiting to see him in game action.

The score for one of Sunrise's games is not reported on MaxPreps. They are either 4-3 or 5-2 if that game was played. The level of competition appears to be fairly weak.

I saw the most recent box score in the Eagle in regard to Sunrise Christian. Not very impressed with the scoring totals of Olaseni, Katenda & Fejowku. Not sure the size of Katenda, but Olaseni & Fejowku are supposed to be in the 6-9, 6-10 range. Sorry 4 points & 2 points don't do anything for me. Am I missing something (I know that is a loaded question for me)? I know they have played 7 or 8 games by now. Did these players have the flu, or are they maybe overrated? Any season stat updates?

They were more productive Saturday at the Kreul Classic in Florida. Fejowku went for 16 and Olaseni had 14. On Friday Buddy Heild had 16 and 10 on Saturday. They won Saturday 77-53. Lost in the first round on Friday.

Gabe's(now listed at 6'11) list continues to grow. He is hearing from Clemson, Iowa, TCU, Drexel, Rhode Island, Wichita State, Missouri State, and Auburn.

He is still developing on the offensive end, but his rebounding and ability to control the boards is the the thing that is attracting the big time coaches. He will be a project on offense, but is rated by most as a high-major prospect.

It is my feeling, that this could be the first of the Sunrise kids to choose WSU.

Do you think he will remain a 2011 recruit or reclassify?

I think he plans on starting his college career, redshirting his freshman year.

Of course we don't know if we have any, or how much room for additional 2011 recruits. If we do have room for a big man I hope he would be ready to contribute next year.

A new article on the big man.

                              P.S. No mention of WSU.
