I'll make it a point to see a St. Thomas game or two this year. The team also has Aaron Durley, the big kid, cousin of JT I believe.

Got to think the Shox are interested in Durley.

I sure as hell hope that he doesn't think he is a sg like JT does. That guy as talented as he may be just kills me. I don't know if I have seen such a poor defender out here in a long time. I don't care how many points the guy scores... he always gives up more! I hope he has his #$&@ together this year and is ready to play a complete game and no I don't mean 40 mins. I want to see him defend and rebound and for the love of god get his ass in the paint for a change!!!

I must have missed all of last season because I didn't see what you describe from Durley last season. I think he shook most of that reputation. He was definitely in the paint.

I question whether the 2-sport thing is considered a positive under the present powers-that-be.

I'm not for sure if Aaron Durley is playing baseball anymore. Does anybody know?

Houston preps believes Sanders is the best shooter in Houston's 2012 class.

While I was in Houston, Texas for the second session of Nike's new EYBL this past weekend, I discovered that John Lucas was holding his annu...

Christian Sanders (TX) 6'2 was a high flying athlete who occasionally slam dunked in traffic... Sanders is a pure scorer that doesn't mind playing team basketball.
Christian Sanders has a 39" vertical leap and rebounds very well but what (he) does the best is shoot the basketball. He has a great mid range game and strokes the three with ease. He is a major D1 prospect.

Looks like the Christian Sanders referred to in the article may be an 8th grader. I assume we're looking at the older one at St. Thomas.

I saw a tweet tonight saying Aaron Durley has been ruled ineligible to play at Bush HS.

Sanders has D-1 offers from unnamed schools. I haven't read anything lately about him but I know he started the season playing very, very well. RCA Sports has him ranked as #13 in Texas for 2012. We are probably going to need at least one SG in this class.

An assistant coach has called him a Bobby Sura, Florida State's all-time leading scorer who went on to have a nice NBA career.

                            Sura

Sorry to digress a bit, but wasn't it Mike Cohen's staff that declined to recruit Sura, despite some indication of possible interest on his part, because they didn't think he was a D-1 athlete?

The word was that we could have had Sura, however, Cohen liked K. C. Hunt better. We all know how that worked out. He also said at the time Val Barnes wasn't good enought for WSU.
