  • Player transfer announcement timing

There has been some discussion about when transfers are announced. Some have said it won't be until the player banquet. I decided to look back to last season.

Last year, as well as this year, the banquet is in mid-April, after the start of the late signing period. Reggie Chamberlain's transfer was announced on March 31st. AJ Hawkins' transfer went public April 8.

Just pointing out that they will be announced when appropriate and not tied to any event.

"dont talk to me about fouls....Ive got to go back and look at some tape... I have some thoughts but I need to look at the tape and then I will have something very strong to say"

I've never heard of the specific timing or completion of the meetings being officially announced. There's really no useful purpose that I can think of.

I seem to remember Marshall saying that there were two parts to the announcement timing: deciding who would go and finding them a home. Could be that decisions have been made, but they are still looking for new teams for someone. This assumes that the split is somewhat amicable.

UCLA's J'mison Morgan is transferring and would like to be closer to his Dallas home.

6'10 and 240 formally rated the No. 3 center and the No. 23 overall prospect in the Class of 2008 by Scout.com, this would be a great transfer addition after we lose 3 Forwards next year.

Here's a link for both of Morgan's years at UCLA.
