Hard to tell from the article if the problem lies more with the player or with the coach. 4 guys leaving in 9 months is almost Lowery-esque.
Redshirts are usually best if both the coach and the player are happy with it. Sounds like the coach wanted it (and was going to force the RS) and the player was very PO'd about it and went public.The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

Well from the sounds of things he didn't go about it right, but I guess why does he need to keep the stuff out of the public eye? If he feels that he got lied to and the coaches will lie to players to get them to committ and then turn around and treat them differently, isn't that something others should be made aware of who are trying to make decisions on where to go to school? Sounds like MSU is taking flyers on quite a few kids with athleticism or size regardless of skill or character just to try and stay competitive in the SEC.
