I would agree with you on that stat also but in the course of that game those TO weren't really that noticeable. It was a fast pace game and butler does a lot of passing that can cause some of those. It was more noticeable when he was out of the game because there backup point guard was not at that level to handle pressure of hutch. But I would agree that 6 TO is a lot for a half and a game.

The only area of concern in that game would be his 6 first half turnovers. Anybody have his t.o. stats for the year?
3.26 TO per game. 4.57 assists per game. Stats through 23 games.

        In comparison:

Tony Smith: 3.3 TO pg and 6.65 assists pg

Marquise Carter: 3.5 TO pg and 5.58 assists pg

So I would say the TOs should be of no more concern with one over the others.

However, I impressed with the 2/1 ratio of Smith.

It is common knowledge the Shocks will most likely sign a Juco Guard with our last ship. Several fans think next Season will be a big one for us. However, when Clevin has not been in games this Season, the Shocks are just not as good. It was encouraging to see Mr. Williams have a solid game last game on the road as a Freshman. However, one of the 3 point guards mentioned here on this thread could most likey be signed and press him for the pg slot. I wonder how these players rate in order of importance as our Coaches evaluate them? Also, will Kenny M. redshirt or vastly improve next Season? Kenny was a player many of us thought might very well be in our rotation this Season. I have often wondered if he was directed to redshirt this year and declined? No doubt Kenny is a talented young man.

The game Cousin had versus Hutch appeared impressive indeed. He is only 5'11" but has 3 years to offer to the team that lands him. Tony Smith is 6'5" and sounds like a solid player and leader at the point. Carter is the only player that I have seen play thus far but the Season is not over yet!!! Carter can hoop and score at 6'4". By now, he surely has an aptitude of how to best utilize EO whom will be a Shock. It appears that any on these 3 would be solid? Which one do you want based on the limited info we have so far? You can be assured that Coach Marshall understands just how very important this signing will be.

Some last thoughts. Has Cousin and Smith played against each other this Season yet? If so, I wonder how this match up turned out? I might just see if their teams play again this very Season. Hmmmmmmm!!!
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Has anyone seen Cousins play recently?
How would you compare him to Marquise Carter?

He hasn't scored yet but, 7 assists to 1 turnover is pretty darn good.

Those I know who've seen him play continue to say they'd love to see him as a Shocker. If he can take care of the ball and get others good looks you don't need much more froma PG. I know the guy has the ability to score but apparently doesn't have to to have a good game.

I'm starting to feel really confident about Demetric at the point position. He's definitely a better scorer than Clevin but we need someone who can run the offense and be a coach on the floor. Demetric isn't quite there, although like I said I see massive potential. Can Cousin step in next year and fill that role?

Interesting this announcement comes on the same day as Ragland/WSU. We'll see how it all washes out over the next few years, but I'm going to go out on a very short limb and say one of two things happened. The Shox got Ragland, so Cousin committed to the Birds or it was just a coincidense.

I can't find anything on this commitment.

I think the WSU/Cousin mutual interest had been dead for at least a couple of weeks.
