  • Austin Chatman Class of 2011

Thought I'd throw this one up over here on the Recruiting board.

You gotta think he loved the environment at Koch against Tech.

    Rivals

Sick handles, finishes at the rim and a nice jumper.

    What's not to like?

WSU, George Mason, Tulsa are three schools listed as looking at Chatman.

Also note WSU is not listed as an interested school for his running mate, A.J. Price. At one time Rivals had WSU as one of the two schools with high interest.

Chatman claims offers from the Shockers and Missouri State. Bradley, Colorado and George Mason are listed as interested schools.

Current top 5 are Oklahoma, Colorado, Wichita State, Creighton and Santa Clara. Oklahoma and Colorado are on top with Creighton his current 4th choice. That leaves WSU either his 3rd or 5th current choice.

Suellentrop updates Chatman. He'll visit Sept. 10.

“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

Judging from this, Oklahoma has probably backed off. After that it looks like in order; Colorado, WSU, Creighton

Wonder how Colorado going to the Pac-10 might weigh on his decision. In the future, there will be almost no opportunities for family / friends to watch him play in Texas and Oklahoma.

Who wants to play near stall ball at Creighton?

Tad Boyle is great but, without being harsh, look at history only...Colorado has never had great basketball for any length of time. They can't even outdraw ku in their own house. At least he will be loved in CKA.

We've been on this kid, hard, for a long time. He's visited and been to camps here.

It's no wonder he's making an official visit now. Our staff obviously think a lot of this young man and his support group, qualities they value highly.

From what I saw of him at the Elite Camp last year, the kid is smooth, good touch, and impressed me before I put a name to the face.

I see some Demetric Williams in his game, and I think the coaching staff has made it clear that is the type of PG he wants.

The highlight film was full of pure point-guard type highlights. This is good--very, very good!!!!!!!
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Yeah I saw some Williams/Murry/Hannah in his game LOL. Looks like a pretty good all around player. Definately has some handles, fast, looks to pass alot but has a decent shot also. I like it!

Sounds like we may have a good shot with this one! :)

Like Doc said, the staff has been high on him for a long time. Over a year that we know of. Probably a lot longer. It would be nice to get him since he is probably at or near the top of their want list.
