They do, perhaps he's going to visit several. It's early.
For what it's worth, I spent an hour or so studying some of the teams first mentioned by Tim Miller. I thought Baylor may be the team to beat.
As far as a 1 in 7 chance, that seems a little optimistic. I still have him in a 5 to 8 percent chance range of becoming a Shocker. In the fast lane

Ross-Miller's dad updates the eight schools for the Reno Gazette-Journal today.
... Nevada point guard recruit K.C. Ross-Miller has cut his list of potential schools to eight and Nevada isn’t on the list, his father and coach Tim Miller said Monday.
Ross-Miller is still considering Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Mississippi, Florida State, Virginia, Oral Roberts and Wichita State.
Ross-Miller, who plays at God’s Academy in Dallas, is ranked by the recruiting Web site Rivals.com as the 148th-best prospect in the country. He took an official visit to Nevada in late October.
“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'”

I don't put any stock into the order teams are listed, unless the person listing the teams says something to the effect of "in that order".

Oklahoma's message board has a new post with a little different list. I don't know were it came from. Only seven schools on it, WSU is one of them. Baylor and Florida State are not. LSU is added.
I'm not for sure about the ORU point guard situation but K.C. would be one of their top recruiting gets ever. I already mentioned his sister going there. His mother is from Tulsa. In the fast lane
