Ben Smith, who visited during the MSU game, is having a another monster year.

He was a preseason 2nd Team All-American this year after averaging 20.4 pts and 11.7 rebounds as a frosh.

This year, he's averaging 19.9 pts and 11.5 rebounds, leading Region 2 in both those categories -- despite switching from small forward to guard on a freshman-laden team

He shoots 52% from the floor, 39% from three-point range and 70 percent from the line.

        He's also averaging 2.6 assists, 1.5 steals.

Here's an article on his transition from SF to SG.

“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

              Yes, but...

Sounds good, but plays the wrong position (i.e., not PG) -- unless, of course, another scholarship opens up.

No doubt that explains why the Shocks apparently haven't offered but are still keeping in touch -- they're saving the existing opening for a PG, but Marshall isn't closing the door "just in case."

The visitor to the Missouri State game has been offered by TCU and Murry State. Southern Illinois is showing strong interest.

Yes. They are probably waiting on a signature from Ben before going public.

He was third team AA (the 21st best D-I juco player). He averaged 21, 12, and 2.5. Shot 70% FT and 40% 3.
