6-4, 215...20 points, 10+ boards a night and shoots 40% from 3. Sounds like the type of SF that could dominate in the Valley! Also sounds alot like what Murry could be.

Not trying to be a negative Nancy, but I wonder why he is available so late in the recruiting season.

His stats look great. Based upon stats only, one might think many teams would be knocking at his door and offering a scholarship.

      Just wondering.

Hes had several offers, some people just like to wait it out, to check out his option, just in case their is spot there for like or the coach at that school dont go to another school.

It could also be that he switched from SF to SG this year. He's probably undersized for, say, a Big 12 small forward. If you looked at him as a freshman, you might not have seen his full game.

Is "2" the operative word here?
If by 2, you mean 2 juco players that received offers by Creighton, but chose Wichita State, then certainly 2 is the operative word. :D
Who cares about Creighton. This is WSU's program. If they want to chase our coattails, its their problem, not ours. I wonder why this hasn't been reported through any medi outlets yet.

              My theory?

If (and that's a big if) any writers have visited this topic and seen the post, A facebook mention isn't enough to warrant a write-up and attempts to contact the player for confirmation have been unsuccessful thus far.

Why wouldn't the program release a statement upon signing?

Because perhaps he didn't fax it but instead sent it through the mail?

There really is not point in faxing it if they have to have the original signed copy anyway.

In short, this has been in the works for quite some time. You can be assured it didn't come together in the last week or so. 8)

I swear the coaching staff is reading SN late at work with only 1 light on by the way they have recruited. We needed better shooters, especially for 3 pointers, and it seems like we are getting them in Ragland and Smith.

Now, lets get this team together and start 'gellin'. Smith sounds like a real good player, especially with 9 double-doubles last season. He sounds like someone that can get it done.

I seen comments that he is 6'4" and that he is 6'5, which is it?

I am start to get excited thinking about him playing with Stutz and Durley at the 3 or even Orukpe and Blair.

Will coach play Stutz at the 5 along with Durley at the 4? That's a big question right now, as Durley really seems to be a 4 and not a 5.

um, there really is no difference in 6'4" and 6'5". now if there was a 2-5 inch discrepancy then i'd be concerned. often times that 1" difference is negated in arm length or wingspan.

I really think we will see quite a bit of Durley at the 4 - that's how we finished out the season. EO can spell Stutz for needed rests - as long as both stay out of foul trouble.

I would bet that Aaron Ellis is the back-up center in 10-11 and that EO only plays in situational opportunities or late in the year as he progresses (hopefully).

Aaron Ellis has never played the 5, and with two 7' footers and JT why would he start now?

I don't think that there will be very many match-ups where Aaron has the bulk to play center. I think JT will log time at both PF and C.

Here is how I see the depth chart:

PF: Durley (starter), Blair, Ellis, Hamilton (limited playing time)
                                C: Stutz (starter), Durley, EO
