If I were him, there would be a lot more to think about than just where the scholarship offer is from.

How far is it from home?
What sanctions will they get?
Can they realistically compete for the conference title?
How did they do this year in postseason?

I would have to answer these questions and more.

I don't think he could just throw WSU out without taking some time to answer the same questions about them.

That could be what it means. It could also mean he's waiting to see if Marshall takes a BCS job. Don't get me wrong, I'm the eternal optimist, but I just want to share my insight if it's worth much.
