  • Randall Vautravers Class of 2010

It's my understanding that we may have an interest in him walking on here. Vautravers is a 6'5 180 SF from Andover Central. Averaged 7.7 points a game last season. Not sure if any other schools are interested.

Randall has never been the play-maker at Central, that role has always gone to Marshall Miller who would be undersized in his position at D-1. Can shoot a decent 3 ball, plays quality defense, and hits the boards well. Here's a highlight video from the last years state quarterfinal game at Liberal.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Looks like he can shoot the ball, most teams can use some shooters!

Isn't he a pretty good golfer as well?

If he has learned anything from his dad, he should be a heck of a golfer.

Absolutely, he was a big part of our state championship team last year.

I bet he will play golf for WSU and walk on for basketball.

NCAA prohibits players on minor sports scholorships from walking on in a major sport. If he played basketball it would have to count on their limit

His family are huge K-state supporters. I would suspect that he may try to play golf at K-State. Probably as a walk-on.

I thought this was possible but there had to be some kind of minimum time/talent requirement for the minor sport.

I don't venture to the recruiting forum often, but found it interesting to see this thread. I've known the Vautravers family for years. Yeah, Hank (Randall) and his dad are big KSU supporters, but his grandpa is a HUGE WSU supporter (one of the biggest we have). Randall's always been a good athlete played lots of sports, an excellent golfer as mentioned above. I always figured he'd play golf somewhere, but apparently his basketball game has really stepped up the last few years. I believe he's been offered a scholarship elsewhere for basketball. It would be nice to see him play here.

I was at the game when Central played Liberal and Randall tore them up, I think he had 25 points and 13 rebounds. I also went back to watch them play Bishop Miege the next day and he was keeping him in the game until he injured his ankle and hobbled the rest of the game. Very impressed with his athleticism and rebounding ability.

Anyone else go to the Central-Collegiate game last night? Randall looked like he could've played d-1 in the first quarter, he looked great! Too bad we can't make free throws.

I hadn't seen it posted yet, but I believe Hank has signed with the Shox and will be redshirting next year.
