Seems like Chedda has grown 2 inches since last summer. Getting listed at 6'7" now.

A recruit like that is a long shot, but there is a connection so there's at least an opportunity to probably have a sit-down with the family. Strong possibility for an on-campus visit. That's one door that won't have to be kicked down to get a foot in it.

Still, a long shot to sign.

If he did sign, that could be this decade's equivalent of signing Antoine. Maybe Chedda has a summer ball buddy who wants to play with him.

At least we should be able to be in the picture. He's still got a few years to decide so hopefully we'll keep improving and just look that much better to him.

Does anyone know if we are seriously recruiting Noel? If so will we have a chance to sign him.

Not sure, but I would imagine that MT is in contact with him to the degree that Cheese and the NCAA allows.

As far as our chances, They are astronomically higher than any school not in the BCS. I would guess we will get an opportunity for a sales pitch but the Duke, N. Carol and the NBA will be tough to turn down.

It looks like he is doing well. As a freshman, he averaged 26 ppg. and 4.4 assists. He shot 78% from the line. He is listed at 6-6 155 lbs. In one publication he is listed #23 in the nation.

The kid is definately good. Rivals just came out with the Class of '09 rankings and Noel checked in at #10. I hope Turg still pursues him and gives it a shot. He would be a huge get for the program.

A: I know about him. I don't know if he's interested in WSU. There will be a lot of top schools recruiting Noel.

I know a lot of top schools will be recruiting him, but if we're going to get an elite type of player in the near future this is the one with the best odds I would think. At least there's some history. Especially if we continue to do well over the next couple of years. I know it would be tough, but it'd be worth it if the family was willing to listen and give us a shot.

I would think if Randy Smithson can land Mo Eavns then we got a decent shot this time around with Cheddar. Of course the variables have changed between the two scenarios.

Having history on our side is probably a good thing but a lot of kids like to make their own name and not follow in a father/older brother's shadow.

You're right Ed, but it's worth a shot. It does appear to be our best shot at a talent like this.
