Scout has confirmed what we already knew, the Shockers are recruiting Traevon Jackson of Westerville, Ohio. The 6-2 SG is the son of Jimmy Jackson, former NBA player and star at Ohio State. Traevon has a 3.7 gpa and averaged 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists on a strong HS team last year. Four seniors will be gone off the team this year, so those averages will probably go way up.
Traevon has already been offered by Miami-OH, Cleveland State, Akron and Ohio. Also showing strong interest besides the Shockers are Butler, Wisconsin and Notre Dame. He also is receiving letter from other which probably includes Ohio State and Xavier.
He recently visited Akron and Miami-OH. He will take a trip to Ohio soon and has already been to Notre Dame. He has no current leaders.
