Rice is a strong power wing type player, 6-4 SF, who also has a good shot when open out to the 3 point line. He is from Champaign, IL.
I've known for a while of some WSU interest but in a recent interview Rayvonte listed the Shockers as one of his offers. He has many and he didn't list them all, so it appears we are still on his radar. One of the other offers is from Illinois State and he has already visited them. He plans to visit others but didn't say who. Other offers mentioned were Ohio, Kent State, Oregon State, Nevada, Eastern Illinois, Akron, Bradley, Miami-Ohio, St. Louis, VCU, DePaul and Western Michigan. He has several BCS schools looking that have not offered. Among them are Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana, Stanford and Northwestern.
He could very well be one of the few 2010 recruits that if he wants to be a Shocker, somehow he will be.
