I won't start a thread on him at this time but according to Rivals we are sending letters to a teammate of Uhlenhoop. He is Travis Perry, a freshman last year and was Urbandale's third leading scorer at 9.0 ppg. Over midway through the season he also was averaging over 5 rpg. He is a 5-9 guard.

Uhlenhopp pulls the trigger and will be a Drake Bulldog. A very nice pick up for Coach Phelps. He is ranked in Iowa's top five for 2009 and has been listed in Hoopscoops' top 250.

We never offered but Creighton did so sorry DoubleJay, it goes in the record book as choosing Drake over Creighton, Indiana State and Albany.

On good authority, the kid was interested in CU, he wasn't panning out, also got injured and CU backed off. He changed his focus to Drake, they too were backing off but after a re-eval at a couple AAU events, went ahead and offered and he took it.

These kids have a way of intepreting a conversation with a coach as a "they offered me" that you and I would interpret differently. Egos form early in kids these days.
