Some players to consider : Dyricus Simms-Edwards (if he can be a combo guard), Greg Gantt (SG), Tony Crisswell (combo forward).

Jamail Jones (SF) probably a long shot, Bryce Mayes only if HCGM believes he can be a zone buster, but I'm just not sold on Pelham yet.

What about McKeither the juco from North Dakota? From Bossi:

...PF, North Dakota State College of Science- Athletic and quick in the lane, he’s a bit undersized at 6-5. Pounds the glass on the offensive end, runs the floor and can play above the rim if needed. He can face up bigger defenders for one and two dribble drives from about 15 feet but is in his comfort zone around the rim. Went for 23 and 17 in NDSCS’ tourney ending loss.
Because Denny Crane says so Dammit!

At this point, I'm not sure I want to put a Juco player "in front of" our new young guns of Murry, Kyles, Coy, Manigault, and Hamilton.

I prefer a Pg or SG and redshirting him

I think Transfers may pose the same problem as Jucos. They will be in the same class or higher as our freshmen and new recruits.

I'm more than willing to hold the schollie if we can't find the right high schooler. And if we're going to consider a red shirt for him, I want him to be as good as any 2010 recruit HCGM thinks he can get. Otherwise, use it for 2010.

I know what you are saying, but I'm thinking if HCGM can get somebody better than someone we already have, he's not going to see it as a bad thing.

Someone that plays the perimeter and is a HS kid. IF we can't find someone then we pocket the 'ship for next year where we're basically recruiting for one spot at the moment.

I like DSE if we can get him. BU sounds like they're working on him hard at this point and I know a few other Valley schools are involved.

I also wouldn't object to a guy like Criswell. Post depth isn't a weakness but I like what I've read on him.

I need to read through some of the names again as I've moved on from the '09 recruiting class for the most part after Coy committed.

With this years season of coaching musical chairs, there are a number of memphis decommits looking for someplace to call home...

                          Adams

Wonder if our old two-sport man and subject on this forum, Lane Adams, has heard about Reggie's departure.

Marshall seems to have a positive relationship with Cuonzo Martin, so I don't see the Shocks actively pursuing Adams, but he certainly seems to fit the desired profile.

Somehow, rZ, I doubt that any guys looking around after Calipari's departure from Memphis are focused on WSU (although Memphis is another "mid-major," after all).

More than anything else, that comment was full of sarcasm and wishful thinking.

OK - I really don't know much about him...but what about Mason Felter? Is he not good enough to be mentioned?
