  • Transfers from Iowa State...

Clinton Mann, a 6-7 F from Overland Park, is tranferring from Iowa State in search of more playing time.

There was interest at one point, but we were not in his final 3.

Also tranferring from Iowa State is Wes Eikmeier. A 6-3 G, Eikmeier is described as a Ben Jacobson type player, which is why Coach McDermott was very high on getting him.

He originally chose ISU over Creighton and Nebraska.

Maybe it's something in the water up there in Iowa???

I remember us recruiting Eikmeier and thought he sounded solid. I don't recall much about Mann. Still, we don't have room for a transfer at the moment but it will be interesting to see which Valley schools they end up at :D

I'm pretty sure Creighton never offered Eikmeir a scholarship FWIW.

On a related note, maybe Iowa and ISU should just combine their basketball programs.

They may have to. But which conference will they play in?

DoubleJay was all worked up on Mann. There had been transfer rumors about him for awhile.
