I promise you he isn't throwing away a year to play in the Valley.

I think you might be thinking of his brother...

Doc is correct. This kid is looking at one of the 6 and I'm sure there are a few out there that will give him the opportunity.

A freshman that averages 20 points a game?!! The closest he would get to us is KU.

Liberty coach Ritchie McKay said Sunday that freshman Seth Curry is transferring to Duke.

"I received a call from Seth today and he told me he decided on transferring to Duke," said Liberty coach Ritchie McKay. "My immediate reaction was what a great opportunity for Seth. Duke is a program rich in tradition with not only one of the greatest head coaches of all time, but an impressive staff, as well. I am excited that Seth will be able to fulfill his desires at a place as prestigious and successful as Duke."

He'll be eligible at Duke for the 2010-2011 season.

I wouldn't bet against this kid. As a freshman, he scored 26 against Virginia and 24 against Clemson. He can do it against "BCS' competition.

And that's with a lot less around him to take any pressure off. Surround him with the kind of talent that Duke always has and it should help some. The kid will continue to put up points if Duke allows him to.

I would expect his production to go down . . . a lot.

He may still do quite well there, but with more scoring options, he'll be relied upon less and get fewer opportunities to score. Of course, if he really is THAT good, he may just be able to put up 15 or so ppg at some point.

You're right in the fact that he won't have to score like that and there are others. But I expect his stats to still look pretty good. A lot will depend on what Duke has in the 10-11 season.
