Austin Kaczor class of 2010

The Shockers and UNI have shown interest in Austin Kaczor, a 6-4 SF/SG from Ewing, Nebraska. Playing class d2 ball he led the state in scoring with 28.3 ppg. He made the Omaha World Herold All State 1st Team regardless of class.

Kaczor has been to WSU on an unoffical.

Just offhand, he sounds like a 'Bryce Mayes' type of player, and playing 1A or 2A ball is not the same as 5 or 6A ball, competition wise.

You could be right. But I wouldn't dismiss players just because of class size. I know nothing else about him though. But there are some small class leagues with very good talent. I'm not sure if NE has one of them though.

Any info about non-school play (AAU, for example) or other athletics
would probably be useful.

A small school kid could be the next Bryce Mayes, or he could be the next Keiton Page (or the male Jackie Stiles, I suppose).

Sounds like football is an option but he'll probably play basketball.

He has a nice list of schools on Rivals right now. Iowa, Iowa St., Kansas, Kansas St., Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota St., Wyoming and TCU.
