Amazing hops! Incredibile hops! Set up ok, but not especially strong; long, quick athlete. I think all of his points were dunks or put-backs. Can play defense when he wants to (like the entire team). Roster full of D-1 kids. I would wager they are always bigger and more talented that the other team. They do get lazy, on both ends and are careless. Ended up being an ugly game. One of the very best leapers I have ever seen.

            Pelham

Well, according to the box he also took a three, so at least he believes he can hit them. But if the NJCAA web site's stats are to be believed, he was 8 for 48 (!) on the season coming to Hutch -- 16.7% on threes, to go along with 54.3% on free throws.

Sounds like shooting range is not his strength.

I believe he had 16 in Chipola's semi-final loss yesterday, including a couple of late 3s. I wasn't able to make it over for the game. They play in the 3/4 game at 6 this evening.

He was a dunking machine! Chipola really has the most talent of all the JUCOS - they were fun to watch - granted they dont play hard for 40 minutes - they do play well in spurts (when the want to) - I bet they had 30 dunks in their 103-70 win over Connor State - it would be nice to keep that pipeline open!
Don't let the fear of striking out - keep you from playing the game!

I only know a couple of people who went and they weren't big on this kid. They thought he had a major effort problem and pretty much only works hard when he has the ball in his hands.

For those that have seen him play, If this kid can shoot a little what are the possibilities of Torye playing the 3?

I agree with SubGod to an extent - but it wasn't just him - the whole Juco experience has that same mentality. Chipola was good when they wanted to put out the effort - but the showed alot of bad basketball habits that would keep them from playing division 1 basketball. The talent is there - the discipline is not.

Part of it is that Chipola has probably 10-11 D-1 guys, they can usually win just having fun and rotating in and out. Lots of bad habits form that way.

Sounds to me like the Chipola coaching staff is not doing their players any favors by allowing this to happen. Too bad for the kids. There might just be some really good talent there.

Two programs that will use him as an undersized PF.

If that is what he wants, those are probably better situations for him than WSU.
