  • Malcom Armstead to Oregon

Armstead is Chipola's current point guard and through a Scout article he is claiming an offer from WSU. Also offering are Iowa (whose fans are very interested in him), Arkansas (there were recent rumors that he would commit to them), Washington State, Colorado, Fresno State and Providence.

He says he is currently interested in Iowa, Arkansas, Kentucky, Florida, Saint John's, "a couple of mid-majors," a couple of Big East and a couple of PAC-10 schools. He plans to visit Arkansas, Iowa and probably another school or two after his season.

He is 6-1 and is averaging 6.8 ppg. He will have 3 years of eligibility left as he attended a prep school in his home state of Alabama last year.

This is probably one case where the competition for a player's services doesn't bother me so much.

Makes no sense to bring in another guard into the same graduating class as Murry and Kyles.

While in Hutchinson he still listed the Shockers as on his list. He said Kentucky and St. John's are locks for visits. Also mentioned were Iowa, Arkansas, Washington State and Tennessee.

This kid is pretty good, and is a natural point guard. I do not remember his offensive game, tho.

              Is headed to Oregon.

Chose Oregon over St. John's, Iowa, Alabama, Wichita State, Rutgers, UNC Charlotte, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Creighton, Southern Miss and Memphis.
