Does anyone know his season free throw and 3 pt. shooting percentages? This would show his ability to shoot the basketball. That is something that we are looking for.

and that has proved what in years past?

        Two words: Chance Lindley

There are better options out there that we still have shots at. Bryce may be a nice walk-on type player but I'd rather pocket the 'ship if we don't get someone else and use it next year when we're basically only recruiting one spot.

I gather from good sorce that Bryce will indeed be a Shocker...probably as a walk on....so we should welcome him and hope he surprises us all with his ability....Think Adam Eminiker ...

I've said in the past he'd be a welcomed walk-on.

1)All walkons are welcomed with open arms.

2)I have assumed there is room for at least 1 walk on as I doubt our warrior from Sunrise is ever going to play again..which makes me very sad.

3)I never want to see another Emememememmememeker in my life....especially if we have to suffer through the awful years until he became a productive senior. The Geese success model is not one I am looking to mirror....and I doubt many others are as well.

I personally believe invited walk-on is all we can possibly offer, for all people who indeed would like to see a local offer I have trouble seeing Mayes as better than Barton County's Chip Steven. Steven averaged 11.3 PPG while shooting 40% from 3 and 87% from the free throw line, and remember this is against some of the best Juco players in the country, not against 2A high school kids.

Not saying we are looking at this kid, not even saying he could perform, but I would see him as a better local talent for a scholly opportunity.

"Invited walk-on" is by definition a non-scholarship player, Peru.

I understand that, I was answering to the previous posts of possibly giving this kid a scholarship. That is why I was saying that is all we can afford to offer to this kid, to invite him to walk on. In my opinion if we offered this kid our one open scholarship we might as well worked harder to keep Reggie. Reggie was more capable of handling D1 competition.

With the two open scholarships, does this allow Bryce the opportunity for a scholarship with the Shocks? Coach has said he is looking for a 3 pt threat.

I'd doubt it. Coach can find better use of a 'ship.

On KGSO this morning it was indicated by the man handling the Kansas-Nebraska Basketball Borderwar All-star basketball that Bryce was signed to play in that game at the Hartman arena and he had accepted an offer to walk-on at WSU. The guard from Southeast was also going to play along with a St. Louis -Majerus LOI signee from Topeka.
