            Battee

According to Paul Suellentrop, he played at WSU in '74-5 (Harry Miller era), and I actually remember the name. I'm thinking, although not at all sure, he may have been a juco guy, which was an area of emphasis in Miller's recruiting; and that he didn't last long -- academics, maybe?

In any case, he was not especially an impact player, and there's no particular reason to think his WSU experience was so formative as to cause him to guide his son in this direction. If it didn't happen with Cheese, it doesn't seem likely with Battee.
