This leads me to believe that the final order of Perry's choices will be:
    1. KU
    2. WSU
    ...others

The question of Away games for Perry's So, Jr, and Sr seasons is (I think) legitimate and I think that moves WSU a little higher in Perry's selection criteria.

If we can possibly land Perry, a lot of it will be because of his relation with Dana Ford that goes back a long ways and has bee reported as a very positive relationship.

If Ford can deliver Van Vleet and Ellis in the same year, can we nominate him for Valley COY??
There are a few boosters out there, that I trust, that think Perry will be a Shocker. Of course, that doesn't mean he will, or even that they necessarily have any inside info. They just really like what they've heard!

In fact...the first time I heard this (I've heard it twice recently) I told the guy, "I might have just wet my pants a little."

These guys aren't having dinner with the Marshall family every night, but HCGM does know them by name.

There's no 2nd place in this sweepstakes, only a winner. I'm not getting my hopes up but it sure would be nice to come out on top of this one.

Like I said, gotta just chuckle at the whole thing. That said, I loved his dunks and this one against MU is my favorite.

Just before he moved I hollered "Take the white boy Bill" and, boy did he. Doubt he heard me, though lol.
He may not have, but I'm sure everyone around you did. That they would conclude from that statement you are a strangely self-loathing as#@$le is probably of no consequence.

Notice that the last sentence contradicts recent belief that Perry will not make official visits before making a decision.

            • I only hope that the Antoine Carr video hit the right button last night. That would be pretty cool.

                  • From Sull'ys Shockwaves blog:

Marshall highlighted his graduation rate, telling the Ellises all 12 of his WSU seniors graduated.
I think we can chalk that one up as a point for Marshall that none of the other schools on Perry's list can match.

I don't believe that all the players who leave early for the NBA have lifetime income security. I'd imagine the Ellis's have better information than I do about that subject. I suspect they may place a higher value on a college education than some of the families of other premium players.

Even if Perry leaves early, I think both he and his family place a value on his teammates getting an education and a program with a reputation of good graduation rates.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

                    • Wherever Perry ends up, I have a HUGE amount of respect for Perry, his family & his (high school) coach for the classy way this is being conducted.
Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

Thanks for the report. After reading it, I decided to put a question mark behind a decision is coming soon.

If he does choose KU (cough, gag, ) He will be ONE player on their team I will follow. What a breath of fresh air in college recruiting this kid is.

Why can't his other choices be Butler, Gonzaga and say San Diego State? Then at least I could enjoy watching him play somewhere else if he doesn't come here.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but I'm not holding my breath. I guess that's me enthusiasm compromise....

                          • I wonder if the fact that Kyle Weems refusing to leave the Valley for KU, KSU, etc will have any effect on Perry's decision. Hate him all you want, but Weems is an NBA ready player and him deciding to stay another year in the Valley can only help the conference. Heck, Jim Rome even had him on his show today.

No prob Trop. I wanted to make that a question to her, but she kept it all pretty hush hush on the specifics, she did mention that it is left up in the air in a general sense though.

However, that is to be expected from Perry, because he's being very very professional about all this. Having a plan (making ur decision after in home's are over) is a great thing, but things change, and I'm glad they said that. Because there is nothing worse than being specific on an outcome, and then when it comes down to it, you change your mind.

I do think we could read into the situation, that Perry is really close to a decision, and that whomever he has as his choice in his head, the other schools are having to win the decision from his choice. At least that is just my opinion on the situation.
