Texas Hoops Analysis:JAVAREZ is a guard that keeps the defense off balance. With his high elevation and quick release from behind the three point line, he makes it difficult for the defense to contest his shot. Willis is a jet up and down the court and causes the defender to really work to keep him in front of them. Willis will put the ball on the floor and penetrate to finish at the basket in traffic or will pull up and knock down the mid-range jumper. He has quick hands and feet, he understands the game and knows where his teammates are on the floor. He is a good passer and floor leader. He plays with a tremendous amount of energy and emotion. He has good ball handling skills and gets everyone involved.

Willis' final three are Louisiana-Monroe, South Alabama and Houston. He has already been to Louisiana-Monroe and will go to South Alabama this weekend. He will visit Houston sometime in November.

Willis didn't commit in the Fall and it looks like the last final 3 list can be ignored. He is on an official today at Texas Tech. In a Scout article schools listed are WSU, Baylor, Colorado State, Tulsa, TCU, SMU, Fresno State and of course Texas Tech.

His stock has really taken off. No mention of WSU in the article though.

Willis will be available for 2010. Catching up on him, he verballed to Texas Tech but didn't sign. He just decided on his prep school, Humble (TX) Christian Life Center Academy where he can work on both his basketball and academic skills.
