  • Dominique Raney-Class of 2011

A 6-2 to 6-4 Combo type guard at Putnam City, Oklahoma. One of the better, if not the best guard in that class out of Oklahoma, he put on a show at the Hoop Group Elite Camp at the College of New Jersey earlier this month. His cross overs, drives and jams brought roars from the crowd of coaches watching and attracted more to his court. For his efforts he was selected to play in the underclass men all-star game.

Although this camp had a name change it is an annual affair that attracts hundreds of mid major to Div-3, NAIA and juco coaches looking for diamonds in the rough. Some major players have come out of it. Over 750 campers were there that didn't make the shoe camps.

The only Div-1 school of interest given by Raney was WSU.

I'm sure there will be more. He's only a sophmore to be now isn't he?

Correct. He probably already has many others.

Raney qualified for D-1 but went juco when things didn't work out with his preferred schools. He'll be looking to move on after a year at Navarro.

I take it that we either backed away or that we were not one of his preferred schools?
